Rodrigo has concentrated his career as an anthropologist on designing dialogue processes as one of his main areas of expertise. He has also been involved in controversy management as a facilitator in participatory processes. In these processes, he has developed a unique perspective on the possibilities and limits of dialogue in building legitimate agreements.

He was an advisor in designing and implementing citizens' dialogues in the constitutional process. At TIRONI, he has led dialogue processes in Constitución, Calama, Antofagasta and Arauco, among others. He has led the Addressing Local Conflicts in South America: New Responses for New Scenarios project since 2014, in alliance with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC-Canada).

He holds a PhD in Anthropology from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and a Master's in Political Science from the Universidad de Chile.
